Outreach

Here at Burgaw UMC, we want to be the hands and feet of Christ on Earth. To meet this goal, we strive to serve our community as best we can.

Each year we offer a variety of ways to partner with us as we serve our Community, such as:

1) Collecting teddy bears for the police and sheriff departments to give out to kids over the course of their cases.
2) Collecting socks, hats, underwear, and other essential items for the Methodist Home for Children in Raleigh.
3) Collecting food for Pender County Christian Services to distribute to those in need, particularly during Thanksgiving.
4) Collecting various items for children suffering under the conflict in Armenia to receive for Christmas.
5) Sending a team to rural Kentucky to help our siblings in Christ who are in need.
6) Partnering with WARM to provide members of our communities with housing help.
7) Collecting gifts for local children in our community so they are able to receive Christmas gifts.

If you would like to help support any of these missions, please get in touch with Pastor Matt. If you have a mission that you would like to bring before Burgaw UMC, please get in touch with Pastor Matt, and together you can bring it before Burgaw UMC’s Outreach Committee.

At our church, there’s no such thing as a stranger. Here’s what to expect when you come on Sunday.
